Experts believe that today is to be the busiest day for internet shopping this year!
It is predicted that the busiest period today is to take place between 1pm & 2pm and shoppers are expected to part with an astounding £13.6bn.
The reason for this is that more people than ever will be shopping from their desk at work. Seemingly to their managers they will be working throught their lunch, but in reality they will probably be placing those orders in time for christmas!
Mr Peterlechner, head of commercial development at Ivobank, said however, this showed many companies were becoming more accommodating to employees’ needs.
“The results suggest most employers would rather their staff make a couple of quick purchases online at work than take an extended lunch break to shop at the local high street,” he said.
According to BBC news, a massive 29 million people are expected to use the internet to purchase some or possibly even all of their Christmas presents this year!
